DSP: Deputy Superintendent of Police
DSP stands for Deputy Superintendent of Police. It’s a rank of a police officer in the police department in India. DSP is a state police officer who represents state police forces. The rank button of this officer is a public hallmark above one star on shoulder swatch.
DSP is original to Assistant Commissioner of Police and could be promoted to IPS after many times of service depending on the rules of state government.
Examinations are conducted periodically to retain police officers directly to this rank. Inspectors are also promoted to this rank after the specified number of times of service.
How to Come DSP
The seeker who wants to come DIG has to appear in the state position test conduction by the State Public Service Commission. The campaigners who clear this test suffer probationary training before getting posted as DSP.

Seeker must be a citizen of India.
He must have completed scale in any sluice from a honored university or educational institute.
The seeker must have attained the age of 21 times and shouldn’t be further than 30 times old. For SC/ ST campaigners there’s a relaxation of 5 times in the upper age limit.
The minimal height needed for manly seeker is 168 cms and for womanish seeker, it’s 155 cms.
The minimal casket needed for men is 84 cms with minimal casket expansion of 5 cms.
